My inquiring mind would like to know. . .

Question: What do these 11 white steeples have in common?  No, silly one, its not that they are all churches!

Oops, that’s not a white steeple, it’s a space ship!  I just threw this in to confuse you.

Well, they all do seem to have white trim but that’s not it either!

Yes, they are all houses of God, but that’s not the answer!

Answer:  these white steeples are all on Baptist churches!  I took these photos this week while traveling between Tupelo and Chattanooga but they are just a few of the many I’ve noticed during my travels.  Whether they are small, medium or huge, white steeples seem to be norm for Baptist churches.  Is it coincidence. . .or?  I wonder?

  3. I have no idea why, but I think it is because it stands out. You can see them. If they were a color, they might not catch the eye. Now remember I am just guessing...Thank you for dcoming by, I love old pictures too. Often they tell there own story. Mary

  4. Wow, you got us all wondering about steeples. They appeared so long ago, on churches, to house bells. Now they could fit on any roof, in many landscapes.

Thanks so much for all your lovely visits.
